Hi, I had to change the PCM in my drivers door however this has no disabled the puddle light on the car any ideas which tick box needs un-ticking and re-ticking?
Rob, sorry to have missed your posts.

Unfortunately I don't know which box to check.

@Poopdeck might know, however I know he doesn't come on here as often now, has I have tagged him for when he does.

It's Always worth @ tagging one or more of the frequently posting members in a thread like this, so they don't miss the request.

Hi, I'm just trying ELMConfig for the first time. I modified my port connector according to this web site: http://www.jamessimpson.co.uk/elmconfig-enable-ford-ecu-functions/ and connected up. I've resolved my Windows 10 driver issue and the supplied ScanTool.net software connects and reads the sensor information ok. However when I use ELMConfig I either get a 'runtime error 8020' (version 0.2.8c) or 'port com3 error' (version 0.2.17c) - any ideas what might be the issue?

Thanks for the wake up Dave  - I'm still around and follow some of these ELMConfig threads.

The PCM is the Powertrain Control Module...isn't it? I'm not sure what @Rob480 has changed...but the DDM and PDM (Driver Door Module and Passenger Door Module) both have an option called 'Approach Light Present' that I'm sure turns the puddle light on or off.

I can't test this stuff out any more, but I'd imagine that's the option you'd be looking for.

Another for @Poopdeck who has modified a good few cables.

Is there anyone near to Stranraer with an ELMconfig cable & laptop that can help a fellow member out?

Mark needs someone to check the option selected in the voice recognition module.

V5.3 DVD update completed, Audio update (via USB) taking longer than 45mins and still not updating.
We need to check whether voice recognition module is just set to a lower option than needed to enable BT streaming.

Thanks in advance guys.

See above post in V5.3 update thread below also, please reply in that thread as it relates to the BT streaming update, not ELMconfig.

Don’t suppose anybody near Cheshire who could help me out ? Managed to enable everything but Bluetooth streaming , I can’t get my lead to communicate with that module says it’s too slow. I now have no Bluetooth at all.
Thanks

@Doggiegiant

have you read the thread below?
it explains which of the canbus settings you need to use.
also the Bluetooth is updated via a DVD on lux2 models; not sure how modules are updated on Lux 1 or base models, possibly via the Ford service & diagnostic system/laptop.

IIRC to access the voice recognition module where the different Bluetooth and nav/media options are located you need to use the Hi-Can setting.
