anyone got the DVD and USB updates I could borrow?

I think im still on the same factory setting since 2009! and have been reading through way too many forums ive confused myself

not sure i trust myself to do the ELM software.....

is it possible to reset the Headlight Control Module via the ELM Config?

I took min eout to send to Monkeywrench, long story short, i got them back unchanged but now one points straight down. When i turn them on, it moves a little, but doesnt reset properly.

I have looked but cant see anything. I have also tried ForScan which shows the DTC code and it needs calibrating, but i cant do it from there.....

Can it be done or is it a trip to Ford to be violated?

Well...there's an HCM module in ELMConfig, so that's a start - and a Procedures screen with a great big 'Autocorrector Sensors Calibration (HID Lamps)' button.

I've never pressed it, but if you're tempted to try it, then how bad could things get  ?

Well, it does help if you actually use ELMConfig to look at stuff doesnt it..... Was using ELM FF2....

When i looked at ELMConfig, i tried resetting it, but it was coming up with a DTC b2618 about the front axel vehicle level sensor not paulsible

Wheni look at the config i also get the error B2626....

Some further investigation needed i think...

Check the sensor arm on the drivers side front wishbone is correct, not plausible suggests it's getting a reading that is....not plausible when compared to others (the rear sensor).

thanks, i'll give it a look. I did think it might have been because the drive is on a bit of a funny slope, so moved it to a flatter part and still got the same code... I will check the arm though. Although, nothing changed on the car when the lights were taken out....

Thought Id do an update on mine.

So installed the updates by CD and usb (had a moment where everything died, but went to the back and started again)

I used the ELMsoftware and turned on the autolocking, bluetooth and the economy mode etc

I have the MP350 map on mine and can say that the shift light doesn't work and you dont get any petals when you drive (Unless you need to scroll through to find this? if someone can confirm)

Now the bluetooth is there and shows up, however as I have the samsung S7 edge not sure if its too new a phone to work, therefore shows this...

Any pointers on that would be awesome

other than that seems to be working

Cheers

Any one wanting to try this, I was a bit apprehensive but it was a piece of cake  I have enabled

Bluetooth streaming

auto door locking

1 press dead locking

Only thing with the bluetooth streaming is it doesnt show the songs,or able you to looks at your albums on the screen or search has to be done on the phone,

and having looked back on this thread and gather it wont, but im pleased I still have the facilily to plug the usb in to my phone and use it that way too still, as before.

I did notice my rain sensor wasnt enabled, although it always seems to sort of work but not very well ??

Any one know of any other worth while features

A note for those with Windows 10. Seems com ports are seen as old and don't appear in the device manager screen. You have to reinstall them. Easy to do. Open the device manager from the control panel. At the top of the screen is a tab called Action.

Click this and select Add Legacy Hardware.
Click next,
Select manual installation of hardware, click next,
Scroll down to com ports and select. Click next.
Standard ports, click next
To start installing, click next.

Com ports are then installed and you can then select the port by clicking on the icon in the device manager and change for the required port.

Guys

Is anyone in the Tyne & wear area able to assist a member?

@Cam1494 has updated his Lux 2 unit with the DVD & audio files but is still not seeing the BT selection button on the CD/AUX menu.

Looks like the SRM module needs to be set to "BT/VC high + BT Audio + USB + Navigation" per post http://www.focusrsoc.com/forums/topic/22199-bluetooth-streaming-update-v53-software-lux-2-only/#entry344054

@tony rs as regional rep do you know of anyone who can help cam?

@Bry - do you know anyone in the area that can do it?

@Brendan @MrDAH. Guys can either of you help or know someone who can?

I remember on mine I had to use ELM config and update the firmware via an update disk. I'm sure I still have one if needed.
