There's been a long silence on this one...have you got it sorted yet?

I don't know how experienced you are with ELM327 (I'm relatively new to it) but I was very cautious with the procedure and worked like this:
  1. Choose a module (like HEC)
  2. Read in Page 1
  3. Save the configuration to an 'HEC Page 1 - Original' file on the PC
  4. Modify the required settings
  5. Write to the vehicle
  6. Save the configuration to an 'HEC Page 1 - Modified' file on the PC
  7. Repeat for each page
I've no idea if it's possible to press Write (to the vehicle) while your settings are blank (in other words you didn't Read from the vehicle first). If that's possible, it would suggest a way of erasing them - so if that was the case, perhaps you can load the saved settings from another vehicle.

I wouldn't go any further until someone can verify the procedure - but hopefully this will bump the discussion along for you.

cheers. i had done this but it wont allow me to write the info to it.

Its well confusing - remote locking wont work- opening will - it did start but wont now wont. lights and stereo work but no interior display. I can read most of the systems but cant write to some - hopefully somebody will have an answer asap........... or im in the

I had exactly same issue with Windows 7 64bit. Most probably the installer does not have sufficent rights and you have to do it manually. It worked in my case.
