Quite a few possibilities but one of the simpler ones to check is charging/battery voltage.

when the alternator failed.

 

Usually throws that up when battery low as you were driving could be alternator but might not be would be ideal if you could read the code from ecu and check battery/alternator.

 

Cheers guys, there's no warning lights now.

Checked the fluid too, going to take it in to get the ecu read.

Yeah, I went into work and started it back up after a couple of hours. Warning lights were gone.

 

A while back my warning light started coming on intermittently. Car seemed to drive ok, I couldn't work out if anything was triggering it, fluid was fine, drove fine, sport mode made no difference. Eventually I took it in to Ford garage (still under warranty at the time), they changed the sensor, and it's been fine ever since.
Hope that helps, but I would get it checked if I were you.
