Tiny, thats a good point would be good to see a topic from all who have there cars as to what phones work well with the RS.
I also am due an upgrade soon and would really like a phone i know will work with no hassle

 

I had the same problem with my old ST that had a new stereo, there is all sorts of problems matching up with new handsets, it was back and forwards to the dealer 3 times, they still never resolved it...
It was due to get a new module but then I got the RS.

The dealer will have to contact Ford Technical to verify your handset is compatible etc.

 

I had to swap my blackberry as the one I had would pair with the device but the bluetooth software would not match so could not hear anything. Phone I have now works well but guess will not be able to upgrade??

I have a scabby old Samsung J700 and it works fine .

 

I have a nokia E71..i paired it fine str8 away..and every time i get in car and turn stereo on it pairs automatically no probs.

What is good is how clear the reception is on the other end..my mates have commented that its just like speaking to someone normally...its a good bit of kit in my opinion!

 

I agree mate! My mates merc kit always gives an echo so I can hear myself talking to him where as I never have any problems on calls with this then again it's made by Blaupunkt which has always been good stuff IMO

 

I have a Samsung Soul u900 and even through Ford's website says it works it DOESN'T, does the same as your Tiny then it just disconnects.
I tested a Samsung Omnia and that works fine so I bought one of them.

 

I ve got a Samsung Toco touch screen which works with the bluetooth but i can only get the numbers come up on the screen not the corresponding names. Problem is i dont know who is calling me when the phone rings as I dont know their numbers. Is it my phone or something I have to alter on the car?

 

Same phone as me Jezzer , i have the same problem with the name display thing using my parrot kit in the other car & not the

i'm sure it's just a phone thing .
