PCV catch can empty

I went to empty my Radium PCV catch can today, for the first time since it was installed in July 2020 when Dreamscience forged my engine, I unscrewed the dipstick on top of the can and it is completely bone dry, not even a film of oil on it, got a torch down the dipstick hole and not a drop of oil in there

Now I know I haven't done as many miles as usual this past year since the install (approx 5k), but there should still be some in there, the breather plate can't be that effective

Anyone with any ideas what could be going on? I can't imagine dreamscience would have fitted this wrong, seeing as they've done countless engine builds and surely catch can installs. I've had a feel around and the chunky rubber hose that leaves the left side of the catch can is routed under the manifold and connects onto a hard pipe which I lose track of under the manifold, it can't be connected to anything else can it 😆

Just took the manifold off, the right side port (from which I understand is the PCV side) is going into the back of the manifold and the left hand port has the longer hose going into the side port of the catch can. Someone will correct me but this is incorrect according to Radium I'm sure?

That hose on the right side was connected to the manifold and the hose which I've now took off which was connected to the left was the one going to the catch can. From what I've seen should these not be the other way around?

I've just found the Radium online PDF and from that it looks like Dreamscience have fitted it completely wrong, there should be one pipe connecting from the side port of the catch can which goes to the PCV port on the breather and there should be a hose from the top port on the can going into the manifold, I do not have this top hose, only the one hose leaving the left of the catch can.

What did dreamscience say? Surprised they fitted it wrong and should rectify it ASAP.
I haven't spoken to them yet, the problem is they are 3 hour drive from me, also this is the first time I've checked the can since I got the engine forged last year - could say I should have checked earlier but still I expected them to know how to install a catch can, I only asked them to fit it for me as it makes sense while they had everything apart.

Now I'm stuck without the correct piece of tubing to go from the catch can to the intake manifold, as they've re used Ford's OE small section to the manifold 🤦

Cheers for the replies again.

Yep, they have fitted it totally wrong so as @JohnD and @ChrisCh have said the catch can has pretty much been bypassed and it has never been connected, they used the OEM short piece of pipe and connected from the breather to the manifold as if the catch can wasn't there and they incorrectly connected the catch can port to the CCV port (which my kit isn't) - I will be contacting them regarding a refund of the labour they charged me for this, if I could be bothered I could also ask them to refund me the parts that I don't have that came with the kit that I needed to get this sorted.

I've managed to get it sorted now, I had to go out and find a suitable section of hose which was the same diameter and quality as the Radium one, which luckily I managed to source and cut to size. So it's all installed as it should have been now.

The only small positive is I haven't done a "lot" of miles so to say, so I'm hoping there isn't a big build-up inside the manifold - there was a film of oil on the inlets and in the throttle body though which I've cleaned up now.

Overall, not happy at all to say the least. This, as at the same time I've just discovered a small oil leak down the back of the engine, towards the infamous Turbo banjo bolt, that looks like its coming down from the timing cover, I hope dreamscience got the engine forge and head, etc right

TBH it might be worth taking it somewhere else for a quick check-over, at least for peace of mind. Any other workshop won't warranty the existing work, but they could at least identify any issues and get them sorted.
Yeah I agree, it's booked in for some tuning work in October down at Sabre and from what I've heard they know what they're doing with the mk3's so I'll get them to give it a checking over (y)
