So received my airbox and rs air filter from mountune today - what is this I'm reading about a bung inside the filter and some people take them off it doesn't seem possible to get off anyway ? Confused ?

The Mountune filter doesn't have a bung the K&N 57S which is very similar does hence bung in or out.
No it's a fixed end on the Mountune filter Clive. K+N extreme is the filter to have with these airboxes Luke :thumbsup:
The open needed filter invited hot air form the engine bay to enter the induction system, I'll leave it to you if you want that (given the cost of the cold air supplied air box)
I had both filters but I don't remember the Mountune one coming with a bung, 57S certainly does as its still in the garage. If you look in the end of both filters the 57S had a bigger indentation than the Mountune filter. I found that performance was better with 57S running 375.
