Spotted this blue ST this afternoon. Looked really good in fact I thought it might have been an RS to start with and shot across the road then obviously realised that it wasn't as it was the wrong colour, but that the would look really good on a RS.

Not now you don't, but if you rewind 7 years I think you'll find the is it or isn't it comments re the mk2 in the forum, together with the it's just a modified ST and it's a Volvo. Some things never change. (Except replace Volvo for Mazda..To me that's the problem with the mk3, you thought it was an RS but it was an ST, you'd never make that mistake with the mk2's. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's a good car, no, great car and excellent to drive but just doesn't have the visual impact that I prefer in a car. Saying that will probably buy one at some point, this is just my personal opinion.
I wouldn't worry, Ford shall probably change the name for the same colour, at least they did with the solid red used on the Focus mk3.id never own a car thats called "deep impact" blue :nice:
On way home last night we stopped along side a stealth focus st, mrs was like that is lovely y didn't u pick that colour in your Rs.No, that's just common garden DIB......so glad NB is RS only.
That's the reason I picked stealth for my ST3......unique to ST3 & RS only!
Snob factor maybe.......but if you see a stealth car it can only be top of the range ST or RS.
you say that, i saw a mk2 ST and thought it was RS, that sneaky bit of lower lip vinylTo me that's the problem with the mk3, you thought it was an RS but it was an ST, you'd never make that mistake with the mk2's. Amount of times iv been told my mate has a Orange one !!To me that's the problem with the mk3, you thought it was an RS but it was an ST, you'd never make that mistake with the mk2's. Thanks I do love my Blue cars. I've still got a Mk2 ST3......in PB . thats a nice pic
Ive always wished mk2 (i had two in PB) and mk3 were sold in Imperial Blue. And if Spirit Blue had been an option for the Mk3 it would have made my choice of colour so much easier.![]()
I know, it was such a signature colour. And looks so good, no matter what the weather.Ive always wished mk2 (i had two in PB) and mk3 were sold in Imperial Blue.
Great colour.
The thing is I'm the complete opposite. I'd never own the Mk2 as its too shouty for me especially in green! I like the new RS because it's more subtle but it's more distinct than the Golf R. You can't please everyone thoughTo me that's the problem with the mk3, you thought it was an RS but it was an ST, you'd never make that mistake with the mk2's. If spirit blue had been an option on the RS I would have had white.......And if Spirit Blue had been an option for the Mk3 it would have made my choice of colour so much easier.![]()
I love that colour. And surprisingly I don't see many in Spirit Blue round here.If spirit blue had been an option on the RS I would have had white.......
Every single Fiesta ST you see is that flipping colour so there would have been nothing unique about it at all.
Nothing unique about a white ford either, not like you would be seeing spirit blue RS's everywhere if it was offered - struggling to make sense of the comment? :rofl:If spirit blue had been an option on the RS I would have had white.......

Do you mean the launch colour? That was Liquid Blue.I remember before the Mk3 came out they used to show a blue one on sky sports whenever they went to a break. Looked good as I remember but it was never an option for some strange reason - only NB.
