Since I done this update the skip no longer works on my iPhone 4. I can select tracks using the menu but neither the steering wheel buttons or head unit buttons skip tracks.

Hopefully a quickie, but is there a way around this if you don't have winzip on your computer?
I've still extracted all the files to my memory stick with the computers zip file extractor but every attempt when connecting to the cars system results in a 'update failed'

Can you not install a trial version of win zip?

Ignore my last message, I hadn't saved the files to the USB correctly, I put that down to user error

Now seems to be nicely updated and working as i assume it should do.

If your phone works fine mate. Then no need to do it.

Only other benefit is if you use an iPod or planning to you don't need to use the ford y cable. You can use the normal iPod cable straight into USB without worrying about plugging in the jack plug for audio as it is now done through the USB

well i think ive got it to the usb took me ages to figure out what it was (er drive f might be the one lol)
now if it is and not in a sub folder as i exported it from the rar file ,should be peachy ,but this is me were talking about

how would i know if its in a sub file

Look on USB if you can see the files at highest level ok. If its in a folder then it's in a sub folder mate.
Either that or it's on my USB so next time I see you can run it from mine USB

im feeling rather smug

worked fine

im not technaphobic it just takes me a while ive gota play with it child like

ok my problem with the ipod was using the old usb and jack the jack always seemed loose and im sure if it was pushed fully home the sound wouldnt come out of both sides .now pulling the plug slightly would then allow full sound
i have had it in bits the male and female parts are not a perfect match so hey ho

now im getting all the sound its rocking .got told by her indoors to turn it off before i get a kicking
