Brilliant, thanks for posting and a doddle to update. My iphone now charges and I can access the music on it when used with the Apple USB charger.
Anyone want to buy a Ford 'Y' Audio Lead............

Word of advsie, that Rich might want to add to top most post, this update is only for the media/Bluetooth phone functions, there is a separate process for handling the SatNav headend updates, these have to be done from a DVD, one removes the Map disk (see clives guide) and inserts the DVD with upgrade. Downside is that these are only available to the Ford SatNav engineers & dealers. Havent got my hands on one yet.

As the topic title states "Media update" only.

The Sat Nav system whilst being in the same unit uses separate software and is only updateable from a DVD.

Ive done this update on my sat nav unit and it loaded up just fine from the USB port

just done this update on a lux 2 nav unit and it is great thanks.

iphone 4s connected with the apple usb lead and not the ford adaptor. Still cant get the wireless streaming though.

If it's saying it's updating then you're on the right track (so to speak

) and it should take around 15 mins so hang on in there.

In fact it's probably finished by now and you're happy...

Yup, only took another 5 minutes or so. iPod now works with only the one connection, also streaming from bluetooth phone now works as well!

Annoyingly though you still cannot navigate to podcasts on the iPod though.

Just noticed all the tracks come up now on my BT Audio setting. Result! I haven't had an update at ford yet so was it the latest iPhone update having something to do with it?

It's been a year with no tracks coming up

...and now they are all showing up!

I haven't done this update and still get all the track names from my iPod. I have to use the Ford lead which I got with the car, but not had any problems. Not sure whether I should do this update or not. I'm not getting any problems so worried I might introduce a problem.
