@insanekiwi

DTC C199, C200, C151, C140, C121, 1607_87.
It is quite normal that these particular codes are always set when a tune is flashed!!
I read your post about this and checked with COBB tuner and he says that has nothing to do with COBB flashing. I wonder if it could have stayed since PCM update last? Not everyone seems to have the same codes after AP for some reason and not consistant. If it is it's bit annoying that the codes are not deleted after unmarrying it for example.

The car has been fairly dry I would have to say. Need to check the around the lids. I have never touched any of the ECU areas so no opened lids etc.

I will keep you guys posted. So no one seems to think faulty Mountune valve can cause this? It seems so far that boost in 2nd gear at half throttle caused the problem.

Check as a vaguely remember something about a batch of faulty Mountune recirc valves?

He means me. :kiss:
No I don't mate I've always got your sense of humour when posts are meant as a joke and also got your point on serious posts !
the mk3 is a fantastic car no one can argue with that it just seems to have the one problem with early cars but like Ian and yourself said its more than likely just forums making it worse

I hope so mate - it's just with so many problems being reported (and exaggerated) - I sometimes feel like I am driving a time bomb. The dealer has checked all the plugs, etc, battery, replaced the Mountune recirc valve to the factory one. The car has been behaving normal self for the past 100km. I don't think it's the Mountune part but will see. The dealer is happy to fit it back for me for free if I am error free for next few weeks.

I do find the idle on RS little low at 750rpm. It is rock steady on rev meter, but I can feel little bit of jiggle once in a while especially not fully hot. Only on steering wheel and pedal. Not as a passenger. Not sure if you guys find it the same - this is one reason why I don't want to change it to updated RMM.

Happened again today but from start up in the morning (cold start). 4 same error codes. No other symptoms. Idle dropped to 800rpm rather quickly rather than warming up the cat.

Turned it off and turned it back on and all as normal. Now 3000 miles. About 8 weeks since last error. Did feel little stumble going up hill on Monday but that felt more like waste gate being confused by my throttle adjustment. No errors.

No DTC on dash start up. This rules out Mountune DV so thats going back on. I guess the dealer can have another think about it but dont really understand the cause for the fault.

Three more times today and the engine light on permanently. P0106 error again. I have been little bit of bucking going up hill on Monday and probably I feel my idle could be smoother (the needle and gauge perfect) but I can feel the engine ticking over through steering / brake pedal. Time to go back to the dealer....

They checked all the grounds, intake, plugs, MAP sensor. After discussion with Ford - applied Focus ST recall slicing wiring loom as their past experience this has worked on most vehicles exhibiting similar symptoms. Will now monitor and report progress. 5013km.
