I doubt they can ask over £40K for it here. All just off the shelf stuff apart from the red obviuiosly.

It will still sell very well though. It would if it was pink with yellow wheels as ford cars are a sound investmant at the mo, particularily anything limited or unusual.

Would have cost Ford very little to do.

Maybe just Maybe the reason we cant get Mountune bits for the Mk3 (out of stock) is that they are supplying them to Fords for the UK version of this....... just a thought....

What a load of **** - Don't know how some people on here are excited by that, Ford haven't exactly pushed the boat out here have they. Big deal carbon bits, black roof & spoiler, making a few things std and LSD?? How about power upgrade to 400hp and a diet.
As I see it if I go down the road and see Mountune, say a few prayers and cross my fingers and hope they have a LSD in stock I will have better car than what they are offering wouldn't I??

Think people are getting "limited" edition and "special" edition confused :smile: They will not be numbered, so not limited edition in the true sense of the word. They may yet only be individual countries editions of the car.

Unless the numbering is done in chassis order and that's for homologation purposes then it's all just a marketing man's wet dream whether Limited or Special tbh

I once saw a type R with 27000 something number on the plaque...hmm nice touch lol

Just a ploy to suck in the fence sitters at the final production gasp. I was more entertained by some of the muppets invited to the special showing ( who's the guy with the clenched fist YES when the LSD was mentioned, oh dear, like you cant get that if you really want it).

As for Ken Block, well the yanks roll him out periodically as if he's some sort of GOAT. I looked up his international credentials (because US credentials dont mean squat to me) such as they are, and found he got his handed to him virtually every time he ventured out of the States in competition.

I've said from the start, red should have been a colour for the RS, think it looks great. :yep: But as said, should have red calipers. :yep:

It's funny reading all the comments of negativity from those who already have a mk3 RS, if it does come here, even if the whole concept is just a few bits & bobs chucked on a standard car, it'll still be THE mk3 RS that'll be sought after in years to come. :yep:

I actually dont see the point in the blue one personally, as anyone can do this to their current NB, whereas with the red, it's a bit more involved with a respray (or wrap). :yep:
