I was working on my RS today which involved checking the boost pipe from the intercooler to the throttle body.

I noticed my intercooler has been touching the pipes at the end of the aircon condenser, not enough to damage it, but touching they are. May be worth a look.
I've got it booked in now to be fixed hopefully, not till February tho .

New radiator fitted this week at Rates hopefully cured now 😒.I am very disappointed with fjrs now as they never spotted a leak when they serviced it a few weeks before the problem started even though they told me they topped up the expansion tank as it was low which should of prompted them to check for leaks ,I also believe they didn't top up the washer bottle which led me to believe the washer bottle was the problem from the start as it was empty and came up on the dash even though the car /washers hadn't been used since the service . I think I'll be going back to using Rates for servicing again as I've never had any problems with them , after my initial thoughts on how good fjrs were I'm not so sure now ,which is a shame really ,its just so hard to find a really good garage .

its just so hard to find a really good garage .

thats exactly why i do everything myself, although its harder nowadays as im getting on a bit  the pit in my garage certainly helps though.
over the yrs with the cossies ive tried a couple of "specialists" but never been happy with them, one of them renewed the front crank seal once on my es cos and said it would never be 100% because the seating lip had been damaged by the place that renewed it the previous time, which was them! when i got home i found that one of the cambelt cover bolts was missing and another was half way out, even more annoying was that id had them chromed too,ive never trusted anyone since.
