After 3 month's of searching for a new toy I have placed an order today for a NB RS with all the options ticked just before the deadline.
Have looked and test drove the A45, RS3, M135I, Leon Cupra, Golf R and have bought the RS without even seeing one. Always been a fast Ford fan and being slightly older my boyhood dreams were RS1800 & RS2000. It's taken nearly 40 years to realise my dream so you can imagine I can't wait.
Bought through Looker's at Chelmsford where i'm heading tomorrow to look at their showroom model.
I am a big American car fan after living there for 15 years as you can see by my avatar and attached pic of my toy that doesn't see the light of day much.
The RS will be my daily to get to work and put a smile on my face while doing about 8k a year.
Thanks for all the info you have given me the extra money i'm sure you will help me spend once it arrives.

Great choice, I've been down the same road beginning of the year, test driving all of them , plus a few more and also put a deposit on mk3 (but also bought a Bm for the time being, could not take company diesels anymore  )

Welcome Marc

Thinking of popping along to lookers myself on Saturday so the wife can take a look at the mk3 and so that I can hopefully sit in one.

Although I suspect they will also have the mustang there and she might like that more

@Gareth350 @Jon what time you guys thinking of getting there?

Thanks everybody, now the waiting game. My first 6 cars I ever owned were Ford, the fastest I've owned is an 98 Escort GTI that had 130hp I think.
Tried to post a pic of my other toy in my 1st post but I messed up so will try again.

Hi guys,

first post, though I've been on the Fiesta ST forum a while.
Anyway, was at Lookers yesterday to check out the Focus RS
and I was also told that I wouldn't be able to sit in the car but I just persisted,
telling the salesman that I needed to compare the CS seats to the Recaros
I have in my FistSt and, finally he agreed and unlocked the car.

Got to say, I loved them, didn't pinch me in the sides like the STD Recaros
and felt really comfortable. Struggled a bit getting out as the bolsters are big
but maybe that's just me, dodgy leg from a bike crash!

Wouldn't think twice, they are a must for the RS, and man,
they look sooooo good!!!
