Guys,
Been having some serious knocking sounds coming from the rear end when going over bumps. Originally I thought it was the rear roll bar drop links or the shocks but got my mate to go in the boot and try find the source.
The noise appeared to be coming from where the seatbelts are bolted in the chassis. So we took the wheel off and arch liner to see what was behind and the bush for the trailing arm is totally knackered. The other side is not as loud but there are noises from that location so I can only assume that side is on it's way out too.
Is this a common problem on the RS? Car only has 31k on and we were quite surprised to see how knackered it looks. There was quite a lot of play in it with moving the hub by hand. Should I stick to Ford ones or upgrade these?
Thanks
Rich
