Well this is what I'm unsure of, im waiting on our recovery wagon coming for it. Fingers crossed it's a case of new plenum on and drive away. Was just considering taking it off the road as well and having a wee runner for the winter

Wow you must of **** yourself!

Where has all the plastic gone? I'd be very careful before starting that back up again with checking that no plastic has got in the engine!

Perfect time to get a new better quality plenum on there!

Right I'm getting mine changed, where's the cheapest is it still be performance?
Also I'd like a satin black one
Unfortunately they do go pop mate I've seen quite a few over the years and can't understand anybody still running a plastic one but that's for another discussion

If I were you mate I'd go for the one you like the look of best and get Tom to paint it to your colour phone Will and Simon see if they have any they can do you a deal on and Chris or Maxwell will fit it at my bit for you mate

Edit I've text WRTuning see what they got for you

Sorry to hear this....

but perhaps a good lesson for all who assume the OE is good enough on a standard car....clearly this risk is very much still there...

That's why this forum is a great resource....people can learn from others experiences...

That's no help to you Tony, but your helping others by sharing this....good on ya :nice:

I've been meaning to buy an as specialists one since I got the car but it's the old " I'm sure it won't happen to me" I've shared this for people like myself who think it won't happen to them but the reality is it can. This is proof that even if your car is standard it can happen and unfortunately gonna cost me more than just a plenum, bumper is decked and my poor carbon fibre vent is smashed also
