My car some times losing power for a split second then is ok iv had a code reader on it and watch the live dater and when it happens the maf reading drops right off
Has any one had problems before with there maf sensors ??
Or is there any other causes that could cause the maf to drop off ??

Do the two outer gages on the dash pod read wrong when the fault happens as this is normally a sign the MAF is faulty?

Edit, my bad that's normally when the MAP sensor is faulty :yep:

The MAF reading will drop if your loosing power as the engine won't be drawing as much air into the combustion chambers.

Any 'pending' rather than 'live' fault codes?

If you can watch live data on your reader, what are the fuel trims (the LTFT in particular) doing?

My long trim is very high -12.5% so for some strange reason it's leaning it right off

I'm not sure what tune you're running if any, but that could be a sign of a small air leak on the inlet side. P2178 is the usual suspect.
