Hi Guys,

At low speed when driving round a car park looking for a space, I getting a grinding, rubbing, loud noise which sometimes gets louder but only occours when slowly turning the wheel left or right. It doesnt occour when Im going straight or above 10-15 mph.

I'm pretty sure its the brakes (I have the Mountune BBK) but its only started happening since my last service?!

Hi Andy. Yeah, checked them all and torqued up properly. Its intermittent too. I'll just be in a car park usually just looking for a space and as soon as I start turning it happnes. Straighten up and it goes?

Cheers for looking though.

i get this as well, doesn't sound healthy but has been checked out and no problems.

its like a low pitch whirring or grinding sound or metal on metal rubbing?

my research came up as either

CV joint

power steering pump struggling

pads rubbing

or noticeable on most wide low profile wheels, tyres dragging (this was what i was told in my case)

Have you checked the wheel arch liners.
I had a similar noise and it turned out to be a pice of wood jammed in the top of the liner.
