The mk2 is a headturning car no doubt and a lot of people dislike the mk3 because they don't think it is, however the only two other rs models I would class as headturning would be the sierra cos and the escort cos the rest don't look much different from an lx,eg
fiesta rs turbo
escort rs turbo
sapphire cos
focus rs mk1...etc
so there you have it 3 out of 30.

anyway, for anyone whose interested I am going for blue with sunroof ,multispoke wheels (probably grey to match the plastic bits)and some rimscuffs in blue or silver whichever looks best.

I'm also going for a blue without sunroof and forged black alloys. I'm planning on doing the plastics gloss black also along with a gloss black roof possibly

Like your idea of the blue around the rim edge

There are 2 types of headturners imo...things like the mk2 that ANYONE would look at and pay attention to, and then other that only people in the know would take a second look at.

Depends what you are looking for but headturners are part of what makes a car special in many ways

Would definitely say the mk1 focus RS is a head turner. 13 years old and still up there with the best looking cars on the road imo.

I think the mk3 will look good on the move, needs a few subtle changes and probably a change of wheels or spacers to fill out the arches but it won't look too bad. Lowering it is a must as ford have a habit of releasing there cars looking like tractors!

Mk 2 Escort RS 2000 droop snoot & RS3100 Capri were head turners in their day plus RS200 is still a head turner & series 1 Escort turbo was a head turner, series 2 wasn't though :yep:

You can make any car a head turner, even if it doesn't start out that way.

A simple wrap could transfer the look completely, and also helps to make yours unique (depending on what you do)

Some people's mod's tbh are ****€ and tacky but then again I alway's say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Car's too low all stickered up don't do it for me. MK 2 RS Focus look's class pity it was'nt AWD like the MK3 RS. I think that is what let's it down but they are still awesome. RS's that stand out for me are Series 1 RS turbo,3dr Cosworth, Escort Cosworth, MK2 RS Focus (in particular the 500 :mf_dribble: )

Maybe they should offered a choice of FWD or AWD on the mk2? :nice:

Personally, i think AWD would have spoiled the mk2 & if it had just been AWD, i wouldn't have bought one. :nope:

Imagine the length of it in 7 or 8 months time when they will be coming out  I can't wait to start with some mods on it already!
Well most of my list is aesthetic to start with, silver indicator bulbs, lowering springs, gloss roof, interior lighting and so on, then I'll move on to the big stuff once packages start coming out

Getting the power down right is rewarding, not just point and squirt like AWD.

There's something cool about how hard Ford worked to make the Revo Knuckle system :)

In fact, I would've put money on the MK3 having Knuckle V2 and was kinda looking forward to it.

Very similar mate... gloss black roof and exterior plastics, toying with the idea of some fifteen52 alloys (white for summer) and just generally see what company's bring out...

Well that's to start with before the packages come :yep:

I'm not that bother about head turning IMO. As remember not many people out there think like us. The wife and her friends think the mk2 is boy racer and well will say it a bit "Chav" of course this my wife and friends who think the "silly" spoiler on the escort cosworth is pointless so their opinion does not really count for much lol.

If you want a head turn for who to you want to turn heads? As remember what you think is nice might be the polar opposite to the majority.

If you want a real head turn and true appreciate IMO you need to get a classic car not a modern car.
