It just lowers the scrub angle. Which is the intersection of the wheel center line and a line drawn directly down the strut.
Basically moving the bottom of the strut inwards lowers this line intersection.
That is why fitting spacers adds torque steer, it moves the wheel centre line outwards and detracts from the revo knuckles effective operation.

 

Blimey! Are Revo doing knuckles as well as Ecu re-flashes now!
