Yeaterday my boost pipe popped off and managed to get it back on but was running rough and banging on boost. So i left it overnight and went to drive it today all seemed fine until i tried putting my foot down. I cant get no boost. The needle barely moves off the stop on the boost gauge. But have managed to get it to boost abit on some occasions but not 100%. What could this be? Iv had it on snap-on diagnostics with no faults.

Are you sure the jubilee clip is doing up tight enough. My boost pipe from the throttle body blew off after replacing the plenum. The clip was knackered and although seemed tight it wasn't doing up properly. Replaced the clip and been fine since.

sounds little daft but pull the hose off spray some hair spray round inner side to help seal it see how it goes then

Just for info, there are many posts on a similar topic in the technical sections.

Are you actually not getting any boost, or is it just not showing on the boost gauge? Standard or mapped?

It's always wise to clear any actual or impending faults if you have a code reader.

If you're sure you've corrected the fault(s) then cycling the KAM is a last resort, but personally I'd rather see what the fault is.

Its not boosting much, using it on the weekend i had it boost fully twice but then it went to low boost again. When i do give it some the needle just moves slightly of the stop on the boost gauge and very low on power. It does seem like an electrical fault to me.

From your description it sounds like you still have a problem and the ECU isn't allowing full boost.

I'd be very surprised if there aren't any 'live' or impending fault codes.

Im going to get it on the snap-on computer again tomorrow. Iv got a spare boost control solenoid which im going to try. If none of these work then its going to a specialist.
