Collins is arguably one of the better maps for fuel.

I have only run Mountune MP350,MR375,JWR120 and CP420 but never stock. The CP420 is the best on fuel when cruising its really good in fact. I still get 10-12 mpg on track too

 

Which was / is the best map?

 

I'd be keen to hear to, I use mine daily so it would be good to know!

 

Mine has got better since adding the 550 injectors.

Initially it was awful late teens. But over a few tanks its really settled down.

Now getting 21.8 just driving to and from work. And can easily hit over 30mpg on a run somewhere. With a little boosting along the way. Work is a quick 10minute drive.

Press loud pedal and its awful though.

Going to be a lot worse than the civics you are used to though mate.

I'm only 385 map. But shall be 400 in next week or so

 

Can't be an awful lot worse than a civic though can it? I get around 90 miles to £20 in the civic if I'm fairly sensible, what you recon you'd get out the rs? Surely if you're not boosting it all the time they can return respectable mpg!

 

My personal experience is as follows;
Standard 21mpg
CP400 23mpg
CP420 26mpg
All average fuel readings

 

So the cp400 is more economical than standard?? You think RS direct would budge on the one they've had in for the past few weeks haha!?

 

You'll probably get around 60/5miles to £20 mate. And if you hoon it everywhere then a lot less.

On a run they are ok. But short trips not the best IMO.

Trust me I had my type r for 3 years. The RS is a lot worse.

Even when just trundling along when you accelerate to get up to speed my mpg counter just drops into low figures.
If you're worried about fuel though it ain't the right car lol

Fill up when the light comes on and that's about it. Get what I get

 

Next time fill up ill record the mileage and see what I actually get.

I think I'd be able to average 25mpg with my driving style which I'd be happy with, I don't really hoon around during the week and don't mind putting extra in at the weekend to have a play

 

Trip compter is usually about 9% out.

 

RS direct due awesome deals on parts and no movement on the cars lol.

Sure adey would sort you out a mint deal on parts though.

Until you get in the RS with exhaust and make it pop and bang an worble everywhere. You won't be sensible lol

 

My standard RS did a mixed mpg over 2000k of 26.7mpg.

CP400 mpg result over same distance 27.9mpg. Not much in it.

 

Haha well I use less than £40 a week in my civic commuting so if it was around the £50 mark in the rs that would be decent.

 

I am currently on JWR100 and I struggle to get better than 22mpg in my daily commute to work, have too drive like an old man all the time to get that. If I drive it as it should, I easily go down to 18 mpg!

 

im on the 120i map with big boost kit etc and i drive mixed 50 hooning 50 % noraml and i was averaging 24-25mpg.

 

the computer is correct even with bigger injectors I've clocked mine a fair few times and even when it says 120miles left I normally do almost exactly 120miles, never fill mine to the top unless on a run so can't comment on miles from a full tank.

As we all know our engines are thirsty but if you use them rite(economically) they aren't too bad, I can make a quarter of a tank last a month just.....

I fill up 52 times a year ...... You notice petrol prices then.

 

Using Dash Command i have average MPG = 17 on track its single figures.

This is for JWR120i

 

Full tank of V-power around £75,and I get between 230-290,my drive to work is at 1:00am,only 5 miles with no traffic,doing around 50mph,doing this constantly for a tank of fuel would easily do over 300 I reckon,its when you get a clear road and a heavy foot that the gauge drops dramatically,but its worth it
My mate drives like a hoon for a big part of his tank of fuel and he gets about 150 miles

and both cars are JWR 100

Think I got 22mpg on my way back from having the 400 fitted but for me a big part of the fuel disappearing quicker than it could is due to the sound as once you've got a few mods the car sounds so great you have to give it a little bit more to hear the exhaust and induction noise coupled with the pops and bangs its

addictive I can't help it.

did you convert it to a diesel lol?

 

Went from MP350 getting 29mpg to Revo stage 4+ getting 31mpg.....very little difference, probably dont push the Revo as hard thus the increased MPG, consistant over 10k (last 2k on Revo)

 

standard was between 28-30mpg and jwr 100 23-25. Trip comp is still correct within 2mpg same as it was as standard as i worked it out a while back manualy
