You may think so but I’ve seen plenty of “minters with low mileage with blistered arches fact. I agree using the word all was maybe a little harsh but most will suffer this issue.
They weren't "minters" then were they.
That rust comes through useage, stone chips, water, salt, or if your unlucky bumper "rub".

Why would a car that has not seen any of that then rust?.

Maybe we have different ideas of what's a nice car?.

If he wants perfection then the op will pay the premium but tbh if he wants one with 40 k miles give or take he will see a lot of rs mk2s with a similar issue if they haven’t been done already which was my point. I know what a nice car is but I’m also a realist. I don’t wrap mine in silk I use mine as intended and look after it also as and when I needs it. No disrespect to those that never use them either it’s our own choice. Let’s not forget it’s just a focus and a ** good one just need to accept a lot aint perfect. Mine was original paint which my painter said was woefully thin especially on the inner lip.. at this point mine had done 45k miles I think.. my previous post wasn’t an attack towards your car I’m sure it’s lovely just trying to put some perspective on what I have seen and I have looked at a lot at shows and when I was buying. Hope the op finds the right one for him 👍🏻

I agree, if your talking about used ones with that sort of mileage.

What threw me was the "they all rust".

I think its a difference in opinion of what we would each call a genuinely nice car.

I'd still say you'll find one with higher mileage 30-40k that's not been painted, it's just that extra mile some owners go to.
