Hi Guys,

Had my car lowered the other week and since this the ABS/Traction dash lights has been coming off then going off again randomly....

Car drives fine, i did get one of my mates to scan the car and it came up with 'vehicle speed sensor intermittent'

Is there a simple(ish) fix for this?

Cheers

ABS cables stretched

If youve caught it in time then swap the brackets over to give more slack

New cables if youre too late

You may have to change them if they have stretched, if you have a later car its plug and play rather than soldering. Still may be the sensor or the plug to the sensor may need cleaning.

Had a look last night and i have change the bracket to the other side and cleaned the plugs, also wrapped some insulating tape around the top of the seals to prevent any corrosion.

Drove it away and the engine light, abs & traction control dash lights haven't come back on yet.

So hopefully problem solved!

I love the forum for help, cheers guys! :nice:

You may end up needing one of these. I did!

Splice it into the original loom behind the wheel arch inner. Problem fixed.

There are others available, but I cant remember where I got mine from. Mine was an original ford part to fit the Kuga, Mondeo etc. Cost about £25.00

Or here. Finis code 1420342
