I know it's been covered but is there any fixes for this. Someone said you can turn bracket around and it gives a few extra inches? Has anyone got a walk through guide? Mine seems to come on when on right hand lock. Do both sides need doing? Cheers
Have you had this warning pop up?
If so your car will go into limp mode
Ford thought they'd sorted it out last week but it's popped up again so it's going back on Wednesday
The brackets had already been turned on mine so I'm guessing the leafs and/or ABS sensors are shot
I'll let you know how I get on but the leads are about £45 each and it depends if there's a plug on your RS if not you will need to be a dab hand at soldering
That's interesting, the issue is that ford used normal st leads and didn't take into account the wider track of the rs.
I got mine changed a few years ago, but it was still the same leads.
As most will know the problem starts with the dash lights on and the mileage/odometer turn to lines but goes off after a minute or so
However it progressively gets worse when the EML lights up and the car goes into limp mode and no 5th or 6th gear can be selected and the ABS constantly kicks in.
Horrible and depressing feeling

I never knew that until I booked them in to be changed at scc.
I am lucky to have an rs specialist locally to me who service my rs and any other work I need doing.
I had mine changed then the light came on again about six weeks later turned out to be a sensor as well. If you change the plug at the sensor make sure you use a good waterproof electrical grease to stop water getting into the connection.
Went to Ford for a new sensor and they wanted £115 for a new one......went to local auto save and was £25 for new ABS sensor.
