The guy I work with has and always wanted the above, he has the money and knows what there going for but finding a good one is seeming hard! Just thought I'd put it out there anybody know of one for sale or has one they might be temped to part with? Cheers guys

My ex boss had a moonstone blue one in 1988 ish, bought from Mike Young Cars (anyone remember them?), think he paid about £14k at 2 years old, reg was D667 HEL.

I remember Mike Youngs, I actully bought a few cars off him
He sold very nice cars in his day,
I even found a few of his old rs key rings recently ?

They always had the best RS's in the country & were always the most expensive for that reason, i remember being astounded when they had a mk2 RS2000 for sale at £4495! :laughing: Mind you, you could get a really good one for £3000 at the time! :wink:

I was 17 & probably about £4k more than I could afford! Those prices were absolute top money, as I said in a previous post £3k would get you a minter, poss 3.5k for a show car!

They were the RS Direct of the day! 😂

Great seeing these old adverts...bought a rosso red d reg rs turbo in 1990 for £6500 and 12000 miles...sold it 7 years later for £3500 with 72000 on.bought my Sapphire in 97 for 10500..gutted at spending so much on a second hand motor.she was a one owner and 36000....now on 123000 and best 10500 I ever spent
