Hello another whats my car worth thread... below is a spec list of my car..

2009 PB focus RS mk2
81500 miles
Lux 1 with Bluetooth
Standard Recaro seats
New genuine Ford silver alloys
Dunlop sport tyres all round.
2 keys
4 owners including me
Full service history some Ford and specialised.
Rear arches perfect.
Cam belt water pump done
Clutch done in 2019
Eibach springs
Forged pistons and rods
Radtec intercooler
A.S plenum
A.S boost pipes
Mountune lid and v2 filter
400 lph JWR fuel pump
Stage 3 cams
Stage 3 hybrid turbo
Sabre stage 3 tune
Bosch 750 injectors
Forge recirc
Turbosmart actuator
3 downpipe and scorpion catback
Whiteline anti lift kit and front rear arb

Few stone chips on bonnet but nothing noticeable and in very good condition, has had a chip repair on windscreen. Underside very light surface rust.

Im pretty realistic with price as I use it whenever I can and was thinking £19,500?? What do you guys think. I know prices are going silly at the moment. Reason for potential sale is I want something newer but Im not fully sure wether to let it go... I will most likely regret it but I fancy something new.

Thanks for reading and go easy on me 😂

In the current market I would say it would be under priced at 19500. Hard to say what they are actually selling for though when you see some of the asking prices being so high.
I would of thought 22-23k wouldnt be out of reach for yours.

Seems like if you own a Mk2 :rs: currently you can put it on for whatever the hell you want lately!
Some of the prices online are ridiculous. I saw one about £5k off of RS500-money just because it had lowish mileage!

Don't get me wrong though as it's one of the best drivers cars that holds its value out there but some of the prices people have listed them for lately are ridiculous but if people are going to pay it then fair enough carry on...  :mellow[1]:

Best thing to do is pop it on for a bit more than what you want and then you may get a surprising offer! Good luck mate! Love the spec!! :nice:

19500 is what Ive been offered from a performance dealer so they need to make money on it which is fair enough, Im going to look at a Yaris GR which I know you have 👍🏻 Just worried I will miss the mk2 🤦🏼‍♂

I agree maybe its a tad low the market has gone mad lately.
Having to sell privately wouldnt be easy not many people willing to hand over 20plus grand on a private sale?

Oh nice. Either take that or go through the hassle of advertising it for more but I can guarantee you will love the GRY!! So much fun! :woohoo: Good luck! :nice:

I think there maybe a few more people with actual cash after the past 12 months, but I suppose you never know until you put it up for sale.
I wouldnt be swapping it for the Yaris, been there done that with other cars and came back to the MK RS a few times 😂 but if you fancy a change and you enjoy the Yaris test drive then why not 👍

HI mate,

I had a look at my first GR Yaris a couple of weeks ago at AT Performance when the GTR was in for a service, it’s is quite small not as small as I thought it was going to be.

Good looking car from the front not a fan from the back, imo the exhaust is to small but people are sticking a Miltek on and it looks and sounds better.

I think you need to test drive one, I thought you always fancied a Mk3 they had a few of them as well. (Test drive both back to back )

If you fancy a change what about px for another mk2 but a different colour with lower mileage.

Hello Terry mate hope your well, agree the rear end is marmite on the Yaris and size is a concern as the mk2 feels really spacious. Mk3 are nice but not something I really want now the warranties are coming to and end on most. I like the Rs3 with a 5pot still... dont get me wrong its going to be a very hard decision I love the mk2 especially now its done and where I want it now. I may keep it if I cant find a good replacement?

One of the lads at work has just got an RS3 very nice but not for me, he part exchanged his golf r (another car I’m not interested in) as you know I had the A45 amg there all great cars, quality interior and quick.

BUT when you park up and walk away and don’t look back that’s the test for me, always looked back at the mk2 always look back at the Gtr-35 and my Subaru, not the best cars in the world and definitely not the best interiors  , but they get under your skin.

Never looked back at the Mercedes.

Maybe a little bit, but it’s manly the latest gearbox software and the version 8 of the map I already have.

I think mine is version 5 so their going to flash that at the same time, so it’s got a few extras.

Not bothered about more power (can’t use what it’s got now  ) just smother gearbox and even better launch.
