It was only a matter of time before all the crashes caught up with him.

In Barcelona today for an op.

Honda in a world of do do now, with Crutchlow injured also, Alex Marquez at the back & Taka the top Honda finishing 10th!

Suzuki very unlucky, need a satellite team.

Vale embarrassing I'm afraid.

MV looking good, as is Dovi & the Espargaros.

Cracking race & well done FQ!

Think this season is vale last season in moto gp, still would have liked him to finish on the top before he finally leave the sport.

Thought 46 was taking FQ seat next year - but i will admit not been really following it during the "off" season

and just caught up with Moto3 - McPhee! Lucky and unlucky at the same time.

Nothing concrete with Vale yet, said he would see how this season goes to see if he will continue, full factory bike waiting at Petronas Yamaha if he decides to carry on.

its great to see that 46 still has the love for the sport, but i think (have done since he lost that championship to JL) that he needed retire.

My only wish for Sunday was the FQ beat MM head on - here's hoping he has got the confidence boost. Will be an interesting few weeks

Originally, if this had been a normal full season, VR was going to do half the season before deciding his future (if competitive carry on, if not, retire), not sure how this short season will decide things for him.

As said, nothing confirmed yet, although being the silliest of silly seasons, Lorenzo being under contract with Yamaha could end up at Petronas!!

It's amazing how well FQ did last year, considering he was on the lowest spec M1, Morbidelli was Yamahas favoured rider & had the higher spec (not quite factory) bike.

Plus, FQ had only one grand prix win (moto2) up to Sunday!!

I read that the other day - i dont follow MOTO2 too closely but had heard of him - was a little surbrised when he got a MOTOGP seat. Petronas clearly better at spotting talent that i am!!!

Mind you, Morbidelli didnt have a bad season either

Yeah, think they both did incredibly well last year.

When FQ came to the GP scene he was very MM esq, wild, verging on dangerous, but he has calmed down & turned his aggression into very fast, safe riding.

I have always thought MM is a dangerous rider. Not to just himself but others.

Hoi, there is a queue - get to the back of the line for that one

there were a few forceful overtakes as he clawed his way back up the field - while i am not a fan, you have to admit it would be less interesting without him.....and he does just manage to gauge it on the right side of acceptable.

Don`t know about less interesting without him....but it would definately be more competitive. No one likes to see the same face on the #1 podium spot! I stopped watching F1 back when Michael Schumaker won every race. What`s the point?

No MM for tomorrow's race, did one out lap then decided no way.

Alex also crashed near the end of Q1, starts last.

FQ on pole, MV 2nd, Bagnia 3rd, Rossi 4th.

Should be a good race!

I'm not sure if MM is brave or mad.... Should hopefully be a a closer one tomorrow with him on the pit wall.
