I thought I'd give it a try after looking at more expensive units

really can't fault it, it'll be perfect for checking the cars locked up tight and no intruders when your on your holidays or is that a thing of the past

I might get a couple of these external cameras from TP-Link for the front and back of the house

Got one of these cameras yesterday ,set it up indoors just to see if it worked no problem  ,got home today and tried it in my garage which i was unsure if it would work as my garage is at the bottom of the garden which i estimate is about 25 mtrs from my wifi hub in my front room, worked straight away  :yep:  quite a good colour picture and when i turned the lights off it flicked over to black and white  night mode  ,it is just on a shelf at the moment but i will fix it up on the ceiling over the weekend so it will cover the whole garage .Need to get a SD card for it so it will record and have a bit more of a play with it and set it up properly ,for £25 cant go wrong , might invest in some outdoor ones for the house as well .

Great stuff Graeme, i noticed in Lidl the other day (Tuesday) they had Tapo link wifi extenders that plugs in your house and boosts the wifi signal...doesn't look as though you need that now  :nope:
