Was really shocked at the time the car pulled when I got it on to a private road earlier today. I know it's down to gearing etc, but that has to be seen as good when put next to comparison times of other cars. Suddenly feeling a bit less keen on a Golf R or A45.

The RS has a lot of torque compared to other cars. The tuned ones are awesome - you should give a high torque Revo 4+ a try at some of these times. It seems you go between the speeds quicker than you can count sometimes!
On a trip to Europe last year with a group of cars, we had the French toll cards, where you go through the barriers at about 25 mph. As we went through in parallel for a bit of fun and accelerated away from the toll booths, I was leaving Aston Martins, Audi R8's and RS4's well behind! (up to their legal speed limit - approximately 80 mph I should add) The other cars might be between 412 and 450 bhp, but they were all 200 to 300 kilos heavier, and they had nowhere near the torque. They couldn't believe it!
The RS has excellent acceleration from a rolling start - not many cars can touch it. Not so good off the line though as we all know due to fwd.
It seems you was already accelerating before 50 so is this a fair comparison with regards to turbo lag should you of started at 50? I don't know how the other cars are tested.
The car has a digital system to tell you when it needs oil
Now that's fine but it does a litre of oil every 1000miles
To turn the dash warning off takes 1/4 of a litre
Now 250 miles later up comes the warning
Hang on you think there's something wrong ,so off to audi
They charge 200 quid plus a litre of oil
Now fitting the dipstick obviously solves this as a dipstick can't lie
120k for a car and no dipstick
Anyhoo Yep its gutless looks good though sounds
Awesome
I actually never liked an R8 that much and have big want for RS6 as a family car in two years or so, once depreciation worked its magic
I'm with you there I will have one rs6 that is just not yet siiiiiillllly money
