Hi all,
Ever since FocusRSOC.com was first installed we've been using a modification to the software code that provided search engine / visually friendly links... you may have noticed they all ended in .html
Much like any modification to something that wasnt meant to be... there are the odd hiccups... the modification was not only a headache to install, but it also caused various additional bugs across the forum software like not being able to view search results after the second page.
I also believe that it may have been causing some issues with the page load times.
Invision Power, the makers of our forum software incorporated their own built in basic system... I have decided to revert to that.
You may now notice the links across the website are now different looking... the downside to all this is that some of the old .html links may no longer bring you to the website. I will where ever possible fix this by redirecting the old links... if you come across any, please inform me.
Enough of the boring geek stuff....
NEW FEATURE ADDED - Topic Hover Preview:
You'll be pleased to see we now have enabled for 'Club Members' only Topic Hover Preview.

Number of downloads: 7
Simply hover your mouse over the link and you will see a preview of approx 500 characters of the first thread.
You'll be please to know, it works in 'View New Content' and Search results..... in fact, it even works on the board index on the right of the forum category which shows the latest post (I didn't know it did that :p)

Well the start of Show Season will shortly be upon us, so we thought it about time we appointed a Club Events Coordinator to work alongside Amanda.
I am delighted to announce that Jamie (jmeBDC) has volunteered for the role and we believe he is the ideal man for the job.
Jamie will be organising the major events for the Club, and is also there to help any of you wishing to arrange your own meets.
We wish Jamie all the best in his new role.

With the introduction of the FocusRSoc.com Owner/Enthusiast Membership scheme, the forum permissions have reverted to their preset state.
This means that the Club Sponsor/Group Buys/Private Discussion/Classifieds forums as well as both MK1 RS and MK2 RS Technical Forums are now available only to those that have upgraded to a Membership account. Status updates on profiles are also now restricted in the same way and the Shoutbox will revert to Membership only shortly.
Those that have upgraded now have access to the Garage and Handbook Systems, so please get your cars added in the Garage. http://www.focusrsoc.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/).gif
At this time we would ask that you take the time to post any new topic in the most relevant section of the forums as those that are not will need to be moved manually by Staff.

All,
Firstly, thank you for your patience whilst we worked on the development of FocusRSOC.com, especially for putting up with the default basic skin.
You'll be pleased to see we have now launched the new look of the forums :)
Soon to follow will be a green version for those of you who prefer that option, along with the launch of the green skin, will be the opening of the membership scheme.
If you find any problems with the new look, please let us know in the "Ask the Staff" forum section.
